insightsoftware.com Fundraising Initiative
Denver, January 13, 2016 – Denver-based software company insightsoftware.com, the makers of Hubble, an integrated business performance management solution, has announced the launch of a year-long philanthropy effort to raise money for stem cell treatments for the daughter of one of their employees. Hubble employees regularly plan and participate in various charity events each year, but in 2016 all the money raised will go to fund a groundbreaking treatment for one of their own.
Almost 4 years ago, Regan Moore, daughter of Lori Moore, the company’s North America Partner Manager, was in a serious car accident that left her in a coma for weeks. Sadly, she endured severe brain trauma. She finally returned home after being hospitalized for five months, but she suffered lasting injuries that now require 24/7 care.
Currently, Regan is unable to speak. She has limited short-term memory, as well as limited function in her right leg and her right arm, all of which are detrimental to writing, communicating, and walking. Regan requires a feeding tube and uses sign language to communicate to friends and family.
Regan’s family has invested in a therapy method at home, called Neuro-IFRAH, and Regan is making incredible strides to recover. She still suffers from bouts of confusion and memory loss. Every day is a re- learning experience for a brain injury like Regan’s. Sadly, insurance doesn’t see it that way, and is no longer providing funding for this type of therapy.
On Regan’s road to recovery, a pioneering treatment called Neural Stem Cell Therapy is Regan’s best chance to regain some of the skills she has lost. This treatment will help repair and replace Regan’s damaged cells. Typically this treatment benefits the most physically; the hope is that it will improve her ability to use her right hand, get her eating on her own, and enable her to walk. And of course, in addition to increasing motor coordination, Regan’s family is hoping it will give her the ability to speak again.
The company has set a goal of raising $30,000 for Regan’s stem cell treatment. To do this, they will organize quarterly events in their London and Denver offices. The final big fundraising event will be a raffle for a 7 day vacation to Barbados for 4 people, and includes lodging and airplane tickets. The company has graciously offered to match the money they raise in these events to help their effort to #RaiseUpRegan.
